MMFF's first day gross reaches P150M


Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Emerson Carlos announced on Sunday announced that the first day gross of the Metro Manila Film Festival reached around P150 million.
Carlos said in an interview over radio dzBB that the figure is P3 million higher than last year's first day gross.
"Medyo nagtaas tayo ngayon. We're expecting na dadami pa po ito," he said.
Based on initial reports received by GMA Films, "My Bebe Love" posted gross earnings of P60,462,169.57 on opening day.
A total of P27,434,268.73 of ticket sales were recorded from Metro Manila and P33,027,900.84 came from the provinces.
The romantic comedy film's main stars include the phenomenal AlDub love team, Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza, Vic Sotto and Aiai delas Alas.
Carlos also announced the four top grossing MMFF movies.
The top grossing movies include My Bebe Love, Haunted Mansion, Beauty and the Beastie and All You Need is Pag-Ibig. —ALG, GMA News
