Aldub nation once proved to the world that they can indeed make history. 41 million tweets for The Tamang Panahon is no penny, not a joke and surely a surreal thing. No one in his own faculty would ever thought that a 41 million tweets in one day can be done. Aldub nation did it, and did it with pride, honor and dignity. Aldub nation did it for LOVE of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
That was the biggest twitter party ever in the history of social media. The world recognized it and just recently Guinness Book of World Records made it official.
But what are the significance of these so called twitter party? What is the motivating factor behind all these millions of tweet everyday?
First, twitter party is about speaking the truth about our love to Alden and Maine. It also translates to our love to our family, friends and boy friends/ girl friends. It satisfies our craving for love and it thrilled us everytime we send those micro tweets with the hashtag. Its like sending a love notes to our loved ones, giving chocolates or even preparing for a date. That's how powerful those retweets and tweets are. The more we tweeted the more satisfying it become.
Second, it represents the real emotions of our kababayans who are working abroad. The hardships of being into a long-distance relationships are best seen in those micro tweets that we sent. The loneliness and longingness from your family who are at the other side of the world that only social media can bond together. The twitter party is another diversion ground for satisfying these feelings of being alone, being far and being tired from work. Twitter party with the ALDUB NATION and with Alden and Maine become the inspiration and the medicine for such absence.
Lastly, it is the millennials who made this possible. You might not be one of them, but surely we have youthfulness in all of us. We have these cravings for social acceptability, a need to be with a group, a need to be alike and a need to be recognized. This generation is what ALDUB nation is all about. We are all part of this generation, not of age but of social responsibility and significance. It radiates beyond the boundaries age, color, language, belief and even religion.
