A while ago on the one on one question and answer portion of Maine and Alden , Alden dedicates a song for Maine Mendoza which is Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, likewise, Maine Mnedoza dedicates a song for Alden Which is Stay by Carol Banawa but later on said that the its just the first part of the stanza .
Now let's see what is the meaning of both songs!
Justin Timberlake ( The singer of Mirrors) is a romantic guy — as we saw during his wedding preparations — and that translates to his songwriting. In an audio clip posted on his website, JT revealed that the love song “Mirrors” is dedicated to his wife, Jessica Biel.
Justin Timberlake On His ‘Other Half’
Though he doesn’t come out and say Jessica’s name, he begins explaining “Mirrors” saying, “‘Mirrors’ is a love song to someone that you feel like is, you know, sort of your other half.” And we all know Jessica is Justin’s other half!
He continues to wax romantic, adding, “One of the most valuable things in a relationship is being able to constantly change and be individual, but look to the other side to the person that you’re with and and know that they’re changing as well individually, but somehow you two can mirror each other and be the other half of that world that you both create.” JT, what a lover!
The song’s chorus describes a man who is fighting to hold onto his relationship with a girl he believes to be the “the one.” That story matches up with Justin’s real life — in Mar. 2011, Justin and Jessica split briefly after dating for over four years. Thankfully, they reunited and were married on October 19, 2012.
Justin Timberlake Wants To Grow Old With Jessica Biel
At the beginning of the video for “Mirrors,” the song is dedicated to “William & Sadie” — JT’s grandparents who were married for over 60 years. We’re guessing he hopes Jessica continues to be his mirror and that they last just as long.
“I think a relationship, when it’s working, is constantly evolving because we as individuals evolve,” Justin concludes. “You want to know that the person you’re with is evolving with you.”
